Dear Motley County Chamber of Commerce Supporter;
Thank you for your support of the Chamber during the past year. We hope you were able to attend the events we sponsored.
The Chamber banquet was a fun time. Frances Hobbs did a wonderful job of writing an old time radio show. The food was wonderful and the company was even better.
Motley County Bucks were donated for door prizes for late night shopping in Roaring Springs and Matador. We also contributed to the end of school all night party, the Motley County Junior Rodeo and other local events.
The chamber sponsored the Boondockers Grand Prix in March. This event brings an exciting day to Matador and has proven to be a great fund raising opportunity for local organizations.
A kite flying day was held. A small group attended and had a great time. Another kite flying day is planned for April, 2008 national kite flying month.
To make these events happen funds are needed. To join the Motley County Chamber of Commerce dues are $35.00 a year for a business and $10.00 a year for an individual or family. Dues may be mailed to Motley County Chamber of Commerce, P. O. Box 788, Matador, Texas 79244 or brought to a chamber meeting.
The Chamber is in need of new ideas, energy, and involvement of all members of the county. Please consider attending the Chamber meetings and becoming involved in making the Chamber more active. There will be a chamber meeting Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. at the Motley County Library. New officers and directors will be elected. If you are interested in serving your community in this capacity please contact me at 806-347-2636 (work) or 806-469-5278 (home) or just come to the meeting and volunteer. Bring your friends and become part of a viable organization.
